The 1860 Federal Census for the Upper Parish, Nansemond Co., VA, Suffolk P. O., page 586, dated July 13, 1860 records Isaac Lee (72 - NC) as a farmer with real estate vlaued at $5,000 and a personal estate valued at $20,000 including 17 slaves. Also in the household is his son, Richard H. [Henry] Lee (32 - VA) with his wife Mary E. [Elizabeth / Eliza] Lee (27 - VA) and their children Eva Lee (6), Isaac Lee (4), and James [James Wilson] Lee (1).

Nansemond County Wills list the will for Isaac Lee: born 1788, died 1869; date of the will: May 31, 1866; date of the probate: February 20, 1869

Isaac married Mary Holland, daughter of Job Holland and Mary Daughtrey, on 23 Mar 1815. (Mary Holland died on 25 Aug 1835 in Nansemond Co., VA.)
