James is a farmer and has been married to Eliza for 13 years. They have had 5 children all of whom ares till living.

The 1920 Federal Census for reedy Church, Caroline Co., Virginia, District 26, page 144B, dated February 16, 1920 records Fannie L. Grimes (19) with her widowed mother Annie E. Grimes (56 - VA/VA/VA) and siblings Charlie C. (22), Willie L. (17), Mary E. (16), and Victory (12). James is a farmer and has been married to Eliza for 13 years. They have had 5 children all of whom ares till living. Next door is a hired hand, Lewis E. Whiterco (sic - hard to read, indexed as Whiters) (15). This could be "our" Lewis E. Whitaker.
