The 1850 Federal Census for Warwick Township, Lancaster Co., PA records David (61 - PA) and Barbara (54 - PA) Erb with children Sarah Erb (20), John Erb (17), David Erb (14), Amanda Becker (4), and Israel Erb (?).
This researcher can find neither David nor his wife Barbara in the 1860 census however, the John and Sarah Erb listed above in the 1850 census are found living next to each other: The 1860 Federal Census for Warwick Township, Lancaster Co., PA, Litiz P. O. records John (27) and Mary (22) Erb with children Emma (7/12) and Christianna Erb (13). Next door is the widow Sarah Erb (31) with Amanda Becker (14) and on the other side of John is his brother Reuban and his family. Christianna Erb is listed in the 1850 census as the 4 year old daughter of Ephraim (31) and Mary (24) Erb.
