Vaughn (15 - VA) living with his parents Silas (46 - VA) and Eliza (30 - VA) Vaughan and siblings Caroline (22), Martha (19), Sample [male] (17), Austin (8), and Silas (4). Silas is a laborer.


The 1900 Federal Census for Bermuda, Chesterfield Co., Virginia, District 1, page 11A, dated June 16, 1900 records William H. (Dec 1838 - VA/VA/VA) and Bettie M. (August 1839 - VA/VA/VA) Vaughn with daughters Mary E. Vaughn (June 1877) and Susan Bennet (March 1882) and her husband of 1 year, Joseph Bennet (Feb 1875). Next door is Austin M. Vaughn (Oct 1844) with his wife Mary M. (June 1845) and their children William C. (Dec 1881), Elvira (Sept 1884), and grand daughter Birma Vaughn (Nov 1894).

Wilton Vaughan enlisted into Company H, 30th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 25 Feb 1862.

William married Mary Elizabeth Henshaw circa 1858 in Caroline Co., VA. (Mary Elizabeth Henshaw was born on 22 Aug 1837 in Caroline Co., VA and died on 25 May 1904 in Chesterfield Co., VA.)
