Armentrout (13 - WV) living with his parents Vernon O. (40) and Tempa E. (40 - VA) Armentrout and sister Annie M. Armentrout (12). Vernon Sr, is employed as a Fireman for the Railroad earning $1,350 working 30 weeks during the last year. The family was living in Washington D. C. on April 1, 1935.

Vernon married Gladys Lee Belcher, daughter of Henry Oscar Belcher and Willie Ann Milstead. (Gladys Lee Belcher was born on 6 Jun 1903 in Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia and died on 2 Sep 1989 in Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.)
