Word has been received of the death of Col. Wm. K. Bartlett of San Francisco, Calif. on November 2nd. Col. Bartlett had been retired in 1933 because of a heart disability, after nearly thirty years of service in the Medical Corps of the Army. Of recent years he had been engaged in executive work, in charge of various Army hospitals.
Col. Bartlett was born in Warsaw, the son of Stephen Buonaparte Bartlett, an attorney associated with his brother, Judge Myron E. Bartlett, and Mrs. Bartlett. The family later moved to North Dakota.
He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Harold E. Brooks, Honolulu, T. H. and two grandchildren,Susan Jane Brooks and James Bartlett Brooks,his mother, Mrs. S. B. Bartlett, a sister Elizabeth and a younger brother, Lawerance M. all of the Minneapolis.
Burial was in San Francisco

(April 1845 - NY/NH/Vermont) and Cora I. (March 1857 - NY/Vermont/NY) Bartlett and siblings Elizabeth Bartlett (May 1882 - Minnesota) and Lawrence M. Bartlett (March 1888 - ND). S. B. and Cora have been married for 25 years and have had 3 children all of whom are still living. S. B. is a Lawyer.

The 1910 Federal Census for Regan Barracks, Albay, Philippines, District 159, page 68A, dated June 29, 1910 records 1st Lieutenant William K. Bartlett (22 - NY/NY/NY). He indicates he has been married for 2 years.

The 1920 Federal Census for Washington D. C., District 268, page 24A, dated January 21, 1920 records Wm K. Barlett (42 - NY/NY/NY) with his wife Audrey Barlett (30 - Maryland/VA/Maryland) and daughter Jeanette (5 - VA). Also in the household is Audrey's widowed mother, Nancy Ballantyne (64 - Maryland/England/Maryland). William is an Officer in the U.S.A. [Army]

The 1930 Federal Census for Winthrop, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts, District 572, page 133A, dated April 3, 1930 records a divorced William K. Bartlett (52 - NY/NY/NY) living at Fort Banks. William is a Medical Officer in the U. S. Army.

C., District 192, page 225B, dated April 1930 records a divorced Audrey Bartlett (37 - Maryland/VA/Maryland) and daughter Jane (15 - Vermont/NY/Maryland) renting for $75 / month at 2151 California Street NW. Also in the household is Audrey's widowed mother, Nancy Ballantyne (72 - Maryland/England/Maryland).
