Robbery Arrest
A Paulding County man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Feb 28 bank robbery in Rockmart, police said.
According to information from the Rockmart police:
Larry Render Farr, 47, Hiram, has been charged with the armed robbery of First Federal Bank of Rockmart after the completion of an investigation by Rockmart police, Paulding County Sheriff's Office, Fairburn Police Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Farr was indentified from photographs taken by a security camera at the bank.
A search warrant was served Tuesday at Farr's home, and a number of items seized.
Farr remains in the Paulding County Jail this morning with bond pending.

Man convicted of robbery gets more than 13 years
The convicted robber of two Georgia banks was sentenced to about 13 years and four months in federal custody for armed robbery, said assitant U. S. Attorney David Nahmias.
Larry Render Farr, age not listed, Hiram, plead guilty to two charges of armed robbery. He robbed the First Federal Bank, Rockmart, on Feb 28 and the First Bank of Georgia, Fairburn, on Jan 31, Nahmias said.
Farr was also convicted of using a gun during the commision of a crime for the Fairburn robbery, he said. The second count of using a gun during the commision of a crime during the Rockmart roberry was dropped for a plea of guilty, Nahmias said.
He was sentenced in U. S. District Court by Chief Judge Robert L. Vining Jr.
"We're just glad they got him and he's convicted ... we're just thankful he's been caught now and hope nothing else happens." said Joan Armitage, the Rockmart bank's office manager.

THREE HELD IN MOUNT AIRY IN ALLEGED COCAINE SHUTTLE - Sept 5, 1992
Authorities arrested three Surry County [N. C.] people on charges they helped run two trucking companies that shuttled more than 1 1/2 tons of cocaine across the country since 1986.
Agents with the Internal Revenue Service, Forsyth Municipal ABC and the FBI arrested Grady Jacob Mitchell; his mother, Mary Alice Mitchell; and his son-in-law, Brian Keith Thomas. Larry Render Farr of Alabama was arrested earlier in Tampa, Fla. A federal grand jury indicted the four on Aug. 31 on charges that included cocaine trafficking, money laundering and truck theft. The indictment was the result of a two-year investigation of the Mitchell Trucking and Shane companies in Dobson.
