Martin immigrated in 1887 and is employed as "Lynatypest" "News Paper". They own their home valued at $35,000. Actually, most of the homes in this area are valued at $3,000 to $4,000 so I believe the $35,000 is likely $3,500.

The 1940 Federal Census for San Antonio Ward 7, Bexar Co., Texas, District 259-203, page 3304A, dated April 12, 1940 records Martin Breit (57 - Germany) and Eva Breit (50 - Arkansas) with their sons Eugene Brett (19 - TX) and Harlan Breit (17 - TX) living at 227 [East] Drexel.
