The 1850 Federal Census for Martic Township, Lancaster Co., Pa. page 130A records the widow Rebecca Clark (42) with children James (16), Mary Ann (14), Brice (10), Sarah Rebecca (8), and Joseph (5). Also in the household are Mary (52), Gasella (50), and Jane (43) Clark. Mary and [Sarah] Jane Clark remain spinsters and are shown in census records to live with Clark family nephews through the 1880 census in Maric Township. See general notes on James and Joseph Clark

The 1860 Federal Census for Martic Township, Lancaster Co., Pa. page 512 records the widow Rebeca Clark (52) with children Margaret (23), Brice (20), Sarah R. (17), and Joseph (15). Also in the household are Mary (60), Garzella (55), and Sara J. (50), and Alphred N. (2) Clark ... Mary, Garzella, and Sarah Jane Clark are most likely sisters of Joseph Clark.
