Daughter Callie is probably Caroline and Mary J. is Delila. The post office is listed as Carter's Mills.
The 1880 Federal Census records the Stephen M. Carter family living in Sheffields Township, Moore County, North Carolina. It is noted that a James T. Carter (24) with wife Elizabeth (23) and son Benjamin F. (2) are living near the Stephen M. Carter family.
