Keister Harold Terry, Jr., 86, of Buchanan, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012.
He was born in Cave Spring, son of the late Keister Harold Terry Sr. and Crystal Ferguson Terry, his two brothers; Gene and Bobby Terry and two sisters; Mildred Maxey and Kay Terry, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Terry served his country in the US Army during WWII and Korea. For over 50 years he worked as an electrician, retiring from the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Salem. His big passions were the outdoors, he loved hunting and fishing, and drag racing with Curtis Turner and Richard Petty.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Terry, grandchildren; Tasha Duffy, Tonya Hawkins and Jeffrey Terry, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday December 14, 2012 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, Rev. David M. Derrow will officiate and inurnment will follow with Military Honors at Evergreen Burial Park.
Crystall married Keister Harrell Terry, son of Benjamin Franklin Terry and Julia Francis Law, circa 1920 in Virginia. (Keister Harrell Terry was born on 14 Mar 1898 and died on 24 Sep 1943.)
