The 1870 Federal Census for Reading, Berks Co., PA, Ward 9, page 171B, dated July 14, 1870 records Patrick (40 - Ireland) and Mary (37 - Ireland ) Buckley with children John (13 - PA), Michael (12 - PA), Thomas (6 - PA), Joseph (3 - PA), and James (8/12 - Sept). Patrick is an engineer.

The 1880 Federal Census for Reading, Berks Co., PA, Ward 8, District 56, page 377A, dated June 14, 1880 records Patrick (48 - Ireland) and Mary (46 - Ireland ) Buckley with children Thomas (16 - PA), Joseph (13 - PA), James (11 - PA), William (8 - PA), Elizabeth (7 - PA), and Edwin (5). PAtrick is a Laborer and reports having a Liver Complaint.

The 1900 Federal Census for Reading, Berks Co., PA, Ward 8, District 70, page 147B, dated June 4, 1900 records Patrick (March 1831 - Ireland) and Mary (June 1833 - Ireland ) Buckley with children Michael (March 1859 - PA), William (May 1871 - PA), Lizzie (June 1873 - PA), and Edward (April 1875) living at 711 Dick Street. Patrick is not employed and reports having immigrated in 1857. Mary reports having immigrated in 1844. They has been married for 54 years and have had 10 children of whom 7 are still living. Michael reports being married for 23 years; however, no wife is listed here.

Patrick married Mary Boland circa 1846. (Mary Boland was born on 11 Jun 1833 in West Maeth County, Ireland, died on 30 May 1910 in Reading, Berks Co., PA and was buried on 2 Jun 1910 in Catholic Cemetery, Reading, Berks Co., PA.) The cause of her death was General debility.
