Cause of his death was Tuberculosis of both lungs. General Notes: The 1900 Federal Census for Burning Fork, Pike Co., Kentucky (ED#86, page 186B) records George (sic) S. Gross (Sept 1877) living in the home of his brother-in-law Euel (sic) Ellis (Oct 1846 - NC/NC/NC). Euel has been married to Margarett [Gross] Ellis (Aug 1856 - KY/VA/KY) for 33 years (sic) [23 years] and they have the following children: Obedire Ellis (Feb 1890) and Cleopas Ellis (Feb 1894). Also in the household is Euel's widowed mother-in-law Margaret Ellis [Gross] (Jan 1840 - KY/KY/KY) and grandchildren Ora Gross (June 1896) and Charley Gross (Jan 1899). Next door is Jarrett (July 1865) and Josephine (March 1870) Gross with children Mary E. (July 1891) and Dallas (Jan 1894).
