[this must be Lucy] (14), Annie M. (9), and Eddie (6/12). Philmore and Lulu have been married for 19 years and have had 5 children. Philmore is a farmer. Nearby is Philmore's son, Hustion (sic) Adkins (18), with his wife of 4 months, Maggie (24). Hustion and Maggie have been married for 4/12 year [4 months].

The 1920 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, ED#140, page 72B, dated January 19, 1920 records P. H. (50) and Lulu W. (44) Adkins with children Thomas J. (26), Annie May (19), Hester W. (7). Philmore is a farmer.

The 1930 Federal Census for Union Hall, Franklin Co., VA, ED#19, page 241B, dated April 2, 1930 records Phimore (sic) (59) and Lulu W. (59) Adkins with children Thomas J. (35) and Hester (16). Philmore is a farmer who has been married since age 21 and Lula since age 16.

Filmore married Lula W. Gibson on 9 Apr 1891 in Pittsylvania Co., VA. (Lula W. Gibson was born in Sep 1875 and died after 1930 in Union Hall, Franklin Co., VA.)
