The 1880 Federal Census for Scott Co., Mississippi, Beat 4, District 82 records J. William (50-Mississippi) and E. Anna (40-Mississippi) Latham with children Noah (18-Mississippi), J. Foss (16-Mississippi), Jennie (13-Mississippi), Lula (10-Mississippi), and William (8-Mississippi). Also in the household is mother-in-law Harriet Lawhorn (63-Mississippi).

Note: The 1850 Federal Census for Scott Co., Mississippi, page 275A records Noah (44-VA) and Harriet (34-Misswissippi) Lawhorn with children Elizabeth (10), Virginia (8), William (6), and Lucinda (1).
The 1860 Federal Census for Scott Co., Mississippi, District 4, page 131 records Noah (54-VA) and Harriet (40-Mississippi) Lawhorn with children William (16), Lucinda (10), Martha (8), and Mary (6). Next door is Dolphin Latham (21-Alabama) with his wife, Virginia (19-Alabama) and children, Nancy (5-Alabama) and Martha E. (2-Mississippi) Latham. A few pages over in this census record (page 126) is recorded J. W. Latham (28-Mississippi) and his wife Elizabeth (21-Mississippi) and daughter Mary (2-Mississippi). [The 1870 Census for Scott Co., MS, page 237A records A. B. (37) and Virginia (27) Latham with children Nancy (14), Martha (11), John (4), and Mary (9/12). This confirms that Dolphus (Adolphus) and Virginia are married. Then a few pages over, page 235B, is J. W. (37-Alabama) and Elizabeth (26-Mississippi) with children Mary (11), Norett (8), Joseph (6), Gennie (4), and Lula (10/12). J. William and Adolphus Latham are most likely brothers. Thus one can conclude that the parents of Gennie Lantham are J. William Latham and Elizabeth Anna Lawhorn. Also Elizabeth Anna Lawhorn's parents are Noah and Harriet Lawhorn. Also, J. W. and Adolphus Latham came to Mississippi from Alabama sometime in the 1850s.]

Geneva married John Lane Denson, son of Josiah Conor Denson and Harriet Burnham Small, circa 1886 in Mississippi. (John Lane Denson was born in Jun 1863 in Mississippi and died in 1916 in Franklin Parish, Louisiana.)
