The 1850 Federal Census for South Middleton Township, Cumberland Co., PA, page 157B records William (60 - PA) and Jane (58 - PA) Mayberry with children Mary J. (34 - PA), Hester J. (18 - PA [female]), and Sophia B. (15 - PA). William is a forgeman with real estate valued at $1,800.

The 1860 Federal Census for South Middleton Township, Cumberland Co., PA, Carlisle P. O., page 821A records William (70 - PA) and Jane (66 - PA) Mayberry with children Christian (38 - Maryland), Hester J. (25 - PA [female]), and Annie (5 - PA). William does not list an occupation but has real estate valued at $1,800 and a personal estate at $800. Jane has real estate valued at $900. Christian is a forgeman and Hester is a Milliner.
