Gorman Walter Ledbetter, Jr. of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Marion, NC, and Greenville, NC, died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at The Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center.
He was born in Marion, NC, on November 9, 1928, the son of the late Gorman Walter Ledbetter and Pearl Haynes Ledbetter.
He graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College and later received his masters degree in business at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He was a Professor of Accounting at East Carolina University and a Certified Public Accountant.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry L. Ledbetter and husband David Ferebee of Jacksonville, FL; a son, Russell H. Ledbetter of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Jessica Alexandra Ferebee, Christopher Ledbetter, Patrick Ledbetter, and Garrett Ledbetter; and the Mother of his children, Leigh Seamester.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
