This record along with the 1860 census record implies that the woman Henry Gibson married was America L. Hundley: The 1860 Federal Census for the North District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Museville P. O., page 181 records America L. Hundley (22) living with her parents William (65) and Tabitha (42) Hundley and siblings John (21), Sarah (18), Mahala (17), and Emma (15). It is of interest that the 1850 census records "the same information only different": The 1850 Federal Census for the Northern District, Pittsylvania Co., VA, page 236B records America Hundley (26) living with her parents William (54) and Tabitha (47) Hundley and siblings Calep (24), Sarah (22), Jason (20), Lavina (18), Labinda (16), John (13), and Mary (11).


Henry and Agnes's son, Thomas P. Gibson, enlisted as a Sergeant in Company B, 38th Infantry Regiment Virginia on 04 June 1861. He is reported to have died of disease on January 6, 1862 at Bull Run, VA.
Another son, Henry Clay Gibson, enlisted as a Private in Company B, 38th Infantry Regiment Virginia on June 4, 1861 at the age of 19. He was hospitalized on 25 October 1861 at Richmond, VA and returned to duty on 15 November 1861 (Estimated day). He received a disability discharge from Company B, 38th Infantry Regiment Virginia on November 19, 1861 in Centreville, VA.
His occupation is listed as a Farmer.
William J. W. Gibson, enlisted as a Private in Company B, 38th Infantry Regiment Virginia on June 19, 1861. He was admitted on October 23, 1861 at Chimborazo Hospl, Richmond, VA (With chronic rheumatism) and received a disability discharge from Company B, 38th Infantry Regiment Virginia on November 1, 1861.
