Jessey and Hettureh have been married for 41 years and have had 12 children of whom 11 are still livng.

The 1910 Federal Census for Pine Creek, Carroll Co., VA, District 8, page 120A records Henrietta Hurst (30) living with her parents Jesse T. (72) and Kitura (73) Hurst and sisters Nancy J. Hurst (44) and Laura K. (43). Jesse and Kitura have been married for 51 years and have had 11 children of whom 11 are still livng.

Jesse married Posey Cabell Hylton, son of James Madison Hylton and Mahala Agnes Burnett, circa 1915 in Carroll Co., VA. (Posey Cabell Hylton was born on 22 Jan 1882 in Christ Church Parrish, Middlesex Co., VA, died on 21 Jun 1969 in Galax, VA and was buried in Monta Vista Memory Gardens, Galax, VA.) The cause of his death was Cerebrovascular Accident with right hemiplegia.
