[Daughtrey] Austin (26) and children Francis V. (4) and James L. (2) living at 1911 Dale Avenue SE. Lynwood is a Tinner for the Steam Rail Road and has been married to Gladys for 5 years.

The 1910 Federal Census for the City of Roanoke, Virginia, Jefferson Ward, District 23, page 141B,dated January 27, 1910 records Linwood H. Austin (6 - VA/VA/VA) living with his widowed mother, Susan M. Austin (50 - VA/VA/VA) and siblings Annie S. (20), Clarence L. (14), and Nellie B. (11) at 631 Mountain Avenue. Susan has had 10 children of whom 6 are still living.

(June 1899) living at 611 6th Avenue. Also in the household is Grief's mother, Elmira Austin (Jan 1838 - VA/VA/VA). Grief and Susan have been married for 20 years and have had 9 children of whom 6 are still living. Grief is a laborer.

Austin (9/12 - VA) living with his grand parents Jeff (49 - VA) and Ann (53 - VA) Austin and their children Almira Austin (23), Jas Austin (18), Amy Austin (15), Eliza Austin (11), Arabella (10), and James Austin (10). Perhaps Almira has had an iligitamate child. Also, the Jas Austin may be Joseph Austin.
