The 1900 Federal Census for Sleepy Hole, Nansemond Co., Virginia, District 31 records Flue E. (Sept 1854 - VA/VA/VA) and Maggie E. (May 1858 - VA/VA/VA) Byrd with children Clyde V. (June 1881), Ruby M. (Sept 1882), Flinda (Dec 1887), Erwin G. (Spril 1895, Emette (Jan 1897), and Mary E. (Jan 1900). Flue and Maggie have been married for 23 years and have had 10 children of whom 6 are still living.

The 1910 Federal Census for Sleepy Hole, Nansemond Co., Virginia, District 16 records Fluellen L. (56 - VA/VA/VA) and Maggie E. (53 - VA/VA/VA) Byrd with children Clyde V. (28), Ruby M. (26), Florida (19), Garland I. (15), Emmet (13), and Mary E. (10). Fluellen and Maggie have been married for 30 years and have had 10 children of whom 6 are still living.


The WWI Draft Registration for Clyde Vernon Jones dated Sept 18, 1918 records his date of birth as Sept 18, 1880. He is a farmer and married to Miriam B. Jones. He lives in what looks like Driver, Nansemond Co., VA. Clyde's physical descriptoion is short and stout with gray eyes and dark hair.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Clyde Vernon Jones dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as Sept 17, 1880 in Nansemond Co., VA. He is living with his wife, Mrs. Mirriam (sic) Jones, at Route 2, Holland, VA. He is self employed and his physical description is 5' 7 1/2", 173 lbs with blue eyes, gray hair and ruddy complexion.
