Alice has been married for 1 year and has had 1 child while Mary has had 7 children of whom 5 are still living. Mary is a cook. Alice's husband is not listed here. Note: According to the North Carolina Death Certificate for Mary Fore her date of birth is May 14, 1847 and her date of death is Aug 29, 1921 in Ashville. (She died of a broken neck from a fall) Her father is named as Burton Smith.

C., District 6, page 128A, dated April 21, 1910 records Arthur Taylor (5 - NC) living with his parents Herbert (38 - NC/NC/NC) and Alice (28 - NC/NC/NC) Taylor and brother, [William] Gilbert Taylor (10 - NC). Herbert is a Stone Cutter and has been married to Alice for 11 years. They have had 4 children of whom 2 are still living.

According to the North Carolina Death Certificate Alice Fore Taylor is born 8/17/1881 and dies 2/27/1957 in Ashville, Buncombe Co., NC. Her place of death is 624 Brookshire Street in Ashville. Her parents are Culvern Fore and Mary Smith. Note: The 1881 date of birth is not accurate because she is listed in the 1880 census for Ashville, Buncombe Co., NC: Culvin Fore (69 - NC/SC/NC) with his wife Mary A. Fore (26 - NC/NC/NC) and children Culvin B. Fore (7), Rosanna Fore (5), Joseph H. Fore (3), and Alice M. Fore (7/12 - October).

Note: According to the North Carolina Death Certificate William Gilbert Taylor is born 3/14/1900 and dies 7/13/1959 in Ashville, Buncombe Co., NC. His parents are W. A. Taylor and Alice Fore. The 1930 Federal Census for Ashville, Buncombe, N. C., District 26, page 282A, dated April 18, 1930 records William A. (52 - NC/NC/NC) and Alice (48 - NC/NC/NC) Taylor living on Locust Street. William is an independent Steam Fitter.

The Missouri Death Certificate lists Lawrence Arthur Taylor as born in Ashville, N.C. to W. A. Taylor and Alice Mathilda Fore. Larry is emplyed as a Manager of a Mercantile Store in Poplar Bluff at the time of his death and his body was removed to Reidsvislle, N.C. for burial. The informant was Larry Taylor Jr. of Poplar Bluff.

Lawrence married Sallie Blackwell Sharp, daughter of James Merritt Sharp and Annie Britt Blackwell, on 21 Jun 1935. (Sallie Blackwell Sharp was born on 21 Dec 1911 in Madison, Rockingham Co, NC, died on 2 Sep 1953 in Poplar Bluff, Butler Co., Missouri and was buried in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, N.C..) The cause of her death was Pulmonary Embolsus (throw a clot).
