With the above facts in mind - The 1920 Federal Census for Philadelphia, Ward 24, PA, District 717, page 51B, dated January 4, 1920 records the widower Mary Magowan (59) and children Harry D. Magowan (28), Francis J. Magowan (26), Charles M. Magowan (24), Daniel W. Magowan (21), and Mary A. Magowan (15) living at 23 North 41st Street. Daniel is a Machinist at a Shop.

The 1910 Federal Census for Philadelphia, Ward 24, PA, District 493, page 78A, dated April 20, 1910 records David Mcgowan (60 - PA/Scot/Ireland) with is wife Mary Mcgowan (49 - PA/Ireland/PA) and children William Mcgowan (25), Harry Mcgowan (20), Frank Mcgowan (18), Charles Mcgowan (16), Thomas Mcgowan (12), Wallace Mcgowan (10), Mary Mcgowan (6) at 3504 Filbert Street. David and Mary have been married for 31 years and have had 10 children 7 of whom are still living. David is a Gardner at a Cemetery.

The 1900 Federal Census for Philadelphia, Ward 27, PA, District 666, page 119A, dated June 14, 1900 records David Magowan (May 1843 - PA/Ireland/Ireland) with is wife Mary Magowan (Oct 1851 - PA/Ireland/PA) and children William Magowan (Jan 1885), Harry Magowan (Nov 1892), Frank Magowan (Feb 1894), Charles Magowan (Dec 1895), Wallace Magowan (Mar 1898) at 124 Rose Street. David and Mary have been married for 31 years and have had 7 children 5 of whom are still living. David is a Laborer.
