CROZET -- Carrie (Baylor) Daughtrey, 73, died Wednesday (Jan. 21, 1987) in a Charlottesville hospital.
She was born April 12, 1914 in Augusta County, a daughter of J.W. [John William] Basil and Lucy ([Montgomery] Scott) Baylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Daughtrey.
She was a retired registrar of the Miller School of Albemarle and was a member of Tabor Presbyterian Church, Crozet.
Survivors include one daughter, Margery Louise Daughtrey of Mattituck, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Constance D. Augustine of Richmond and Jeane D. Cleary of Lynchburg; one stepson, Edward D. Daughtrey Jr. of Gulfport, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy B. Hendreyx of Alexandria and Mrs. Elouise B. Irvine of Fisherville; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, Fisherville, by the Rev. Lester LaPrade.
Anderson Funeral Home, Crozet, is in charge of arrangements.
