Paul married Elsie Lee (Essie) Daughtrey, daughter of Abraham Thomas Daughtrey and Roxanna Duke. (Elsie Lee (Essie) Daughtrey was born on 28 Jul 1892 in Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA, died on 11 May 1982 in Portsmouth City, Norfolk Co., VA and was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portsmouth, VA.) The cause of her death was Acute Myocardial Infarction.

Paul next married Laurine (Laura) Daughtrey, daughter of Abraham Thomas Daughtrey and Roxanna Duke. (Laurine (Laura) Daughtrey was born in May 1894 in Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA, died on 14 Oct 1914 in Carrsville, Isle of Wight Co., VA. and was buried on 15 Oct 1914 in South Quay Baptist Church Cemetery, Nansemond Co., VA.) The cause of her death was Typhoid Fever.
