The 1880 Federal Census for Lancaster City, Pa. (ED#155, page 145A) records William S. Biggs as an Apprentice Plumber living with his parents, Henry and Henrietta Biggs, and siblings at 29 East Lemon Street.
The 1900 Federal Census for Lancaster, Pa. (ED#62, page 158A) records William S. (Dec 1857) and Eva M. (Aug 1864) Biggs with children Lulu (Oct 1887), Mary (Aug 1889), Francis (Oct 1894), and Amy (Dec 1895) living at 404 South Lime Street. Also in the household is the widower Jacob Beichler (Oct 1837 - Painter). This is the person with whom the Hagen girls (Francis, Emma, and Eva) were living in 1880 after their parents had passed away. William and Eva have been married 14 years with 5 children of which 4 are still living.
The 1910 Federal Census for Lancaster, Pa. (ED#63, visit 177, page 65B) records William (52) and Eva (45) Biggs with children Henrietta (22), Francis (16), and Amy E. (14) and sister-in-law Emma M. Hagen living at 27 East Orange. William and Eva have been married for 23 years and have had 4 children all of whom are still living. William has no employment, however, Eva, Henrietta, and Emma are dressmakers, at home.
The 1920 Federal Census for Lancaster, Pa. (ED#56, page 80A) taken in January 1920 records William S. (62) and Eva M. (52) Biggs with daughter Amy Biggs (24) living at 17 South Lime Street. Also in the household is Emma M. Hagen (54 - listed as sister to Eva). Also in the household are Clarence A. (27) and Francis (26) [Biggs] Trost, and grandchildren Richard (6 - PA/PA/PA), Bernard (5 - PA/PA/PA), and Louise (3 9/12 - PA/PA/PA) Walker.
