Crawford (24 - PA) living with his parents Theophilus (65 - PA) and Henrietta (55 - Maryland) Crawford with siblings Maria A. (22), William L. (14), Francis B. (7). Theophilus is a Master Shoemaker while James is a Master Blacksmith. Also in the household are D. W. Mullekin (75) and Margaret R. Moore (24) and James E. Moore (1).

The 1870 Federal Census for Martic Township, Lancaster Co., PA, Bethesda P. O., page 131A records Theopholis Crawford (76 - AP) with his wife Henrietta (65 - Maryland) and children Maria (32), Francis B. (15), and Edward (6). Theopholis works in a shoe shop.
