The 1900 Federal Census for Raleigh, Wake Co., North Carolina, District 141, page 50A, dated June 6, 1900 records the widower W. H. Holloway (March 1844 - NC/NC/NC) and daughter C. M. Holloway (July 1890 - NC/NC/NC) living with his married daughter, Mrs. Q. C. Horton (July 1874) and her husband L. R. Horton (July 1868) and their children E. B. (Aug 1897) [male] and E. M. (May 1900) [female]. W. H. is employed as a Carriage Maker.

The 1910 Federal Census for Raleigh, Wake Co., North Carolina, District 117, page 104B, dated April 27, 1910 records the widower W. H. Holloway (66 - NC/NC/NC) living with his married daughter, Clide Horton (July 1874) and her husband Robert Lee Horton (43) and their children Exum B. (13) [male], Lillian M. (10), and Robert Lee Jr. (2) living at 323 East Lane. Also in the h ousehold is Robert's widowed step mother, Sallie Horton (57). W. H. is employed in General Work while Robert is a Clothier Clerk.
