Obituary for J. Cutchin Hodges in The Roanoke Times, Friday, April 19, 1974 J. Cutchin Hodges, 72, dies in a hospital in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday night. Mr. Hodges was a grandson of Joel H. Cutchin, who was mayor of Roanoke from 1902 to 1914. He was vice-president of Hodges Lumber Company and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Dickerson Hodges; two daughters, Mrs. Jack B. Coulter of Roanoke and Mrs. H. Wesley McAden of Washington D. C.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Wallace Boswell of Easton, Penn.; one step-son, C. Wyatt Dickerson of Washington D. C.; one brother Claude A. Hodges of Roanoke; 7 grand children; 8 step grand children and 4 step great grand children. Funeral service will be held at the Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at, 3 p. m., Friday, by the Rev Harry Y. Gamble. Entombment in Fern Cliff Abbey of Evergreen Burial Park.
