The 1900 Federal Census for Berlin and Ivor, Southampton Co., Virginia, District 55, page 30B records Rhoda E. McClenny (Sept 1882) living with her parents John F. (Feb 1847) and Elizabeth (Nov 1848) McClenny and siblings John D. (Oct 1880), Maggie C. (July 1884), and Ida L. (Oct 1886). John and Elizabeth have been married for 35 years and have had 9 children of whom 7 are still living.

From an email dated August 28, 2010:
My name is Herbert Daniel, a native of Portsmouth and great-grandson of Margaret McClenny Whitfield (Maggie) who was the younger sister of Emma Daughtrey. I remember Aunt Emma and Lizzie when they lived on Elm Avenue in Prentis Park (we lived on Gilmerton Avenue). Later they lived in Waterview Apartments. How are related to Lawless Daughtrey? They lived in Westwood in Churchland at the same time my family moved there. Don't recollect him that much but remember Hayes. Hayes graduated from Wilson with my Mother, Jean Peed. I have some of the McClenny Family History. Will be happy to share it with you all.

(Robert Walter Daughtrey was born on 18 Apr 1880 in Holy Neck, Nansemond Co, VA, died on 16 Oct 1945 in Nansemond Co, VA and was buried in South Quay Baptist Church Cemetery, Nansemond Co., VA.)
