The 1900 Federal Census for Reading, Berks Co., PA, Ward 7, District 69 records Elizabeth Hendricks (Aug 1870 - PA/PA/PA) with son Preston (Nov 1878) and husband Alexander Hendricks (July 1861 - PA/PA/PA) living at 220 Madison Avenue. Alexander is a Police Sergeant and has been married to Elizabeth for 13 years. They have had 1 child. Also in the household is niece Amelia Major (June 1882) who is single and a dressmaker. The Nov 1878 date of birth for Preston is an error in that both the 1910 census and WWI Draft Registration Card record 1888 as his DOB. WWI Draft Card records Nov. 8, 1888 as his DOB. He is employed at the Arcadia Theatre and is married. He is tall and slender with blue eyes and brown hair.

Elizabeth married Walter S. Essick, son of Nathan Essick and Deliah Jenkenson, circa 1907 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. (Walter S. Essick was born in Apr 1863 in Reading, Berks Co., PA, died in 1931 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. and was buried in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, Berks Co., PA.) The cause of his death was Carcinoma of the Bladder.

Elizabeth next married Alexander Hendricks circa 1887 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. (Alexander Hendricks was born in Jul 1861 in Pennsylvania and died circa 1905 in Reading, Berks Co., PA.)
