Captain Charles M. Baker

In February 2008 Bob Hill recalled Pearl married to a "Captain" Baker. Bob indicates that Mr. Baker was a Captain in name only ... perhaps the captain of a rope pull ferry. See general notes on his wife, Myrtle Pearl Hill, for 1930 census facts.

Charles married Myrtle Pearl Hill, daughter of Rev. John Henry Hill and Pharabey McComas, circa 1929 in Norfolk, VA. (Myrtle Pearl Hill was born in May 1880 in Perry Township, Lawrence Co., Ohio and died after 1946 in Norfolk City, Virginia.)
