The 1860 Federal Census for Clay (Elizabeth) Township, Lancaster Co., Pa. (page 36) records Samuel (45), wife Sarah (36), children John, Allen, Aurius, and mother-in-law Susanna Hacker (79) in the same household. Several generations of the Wikes and Eberly familes are living next to each other.
