The 1870 Federal Census for Lancaster City Ward 1, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, page 168B, dated June 28, 1870 records Susan Auxier (14) and her mother Catherine Auxier (41 - PA) living with Catherine's mother Augustina Buckins (73 - PA) . Augustina is "Keeping House' and has a personal estate valued at $2,500.

By 1880, Susan has married and Catherine appears to have married a 2nd time to a Mr. Dwyer (who is not listed in the 1880 census record ... see general notes on Susan's husband, Henry Trost. DIES, AGED 72 YEARS
Mrs. Susan A. Troast (sic), widow of the late H.R. Trost, died this morning at 11:15 o'clock at her home, 437 Nevin street from a complication of illnesses.
She was born December 13, 1855 (sic) and was 72 years of age and resided in this city her entire life.
The following children survive: J. Harry, Buffalo, N.Y., William R., Philadelphia, Gertrude B., at home, Marie, wife of E. Roy Cobble, Ridgeway, and Clarence of this city.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
