Page: pg 55 , John son of Wm & Elizth Laws born 29th March baptised 18th Aug 1722. John's father was born in Aberdeen, Scotland about 1689 and married in Henrico Co, Va. in 1715.
The Revoluntionary War pension records of John's son, Jesse Law, state that his father died about 1805.

It should be noted that John is shown on a list of land and tithes taken by Hugh Innes (27) for Pittsulvania County Anno. Dom. 1767 as John Law paying tithes for himself, John Law jr., negroes Jeany & Keat, 4 tithes, 400 land. 8
In the 1787 Census of Virginia, he is shown paying tax on himself, 3 blacks above 16, 4 horses, mares, colts or mules, and 18 cattle.
John married Sarah Cockerham. (Sarah Cockerham was born about 1726 in Henrico Co., Va..)
