Joseph A. Orlando Sr., 73, died of natural causes July 14 at 11:55 p.m. in his residence in Cumru Township.
His wife, Betty L. (Flory) Orlando, died June 20, 1998.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Samuel and Theresa L. (Falinski) Orlando.
Orlando was employed for 17 years as a laborer by Grace Mines, Morgantown, and was last employed for 15 years by Maier's Bakery, Reading, until his retirement.
He was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.
Orlando was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Roxanne (Orlando) Bugay, Mohnton; and two sons, Joseph A. Jr., Cumru Township, and Frank A., Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church. Burial will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.

Samuel married Theresa L. Falinski, daughter of John Falinski and Kathryn Janakowski. (Theresa L. Falinski was born on 15 Oct 1912 in Reading, Berks Co., PA, died on 13 Feb 2004 in Reading, Berks Co., PA. and was buried in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, Berks Co, PA.)
