Census records consistently records the date of birth for Virginius Powers as 1853 to 1856 with the exception of the 1850 census.
The 1900 Federal Census, Virginia, Portsmounth City, Portsmouth Ward 4, District 122, page 188A records Virginius (Feb 1854) and Mary E. (Jan 1855) Powers with children Allen C. (Mar 1880) and Linwood (Jan 1887). Also in the household are Sarah A. Eastwood (Aug 1824-mother-in-law) and Charles L. Eastwood (Feb 1864-brother-in-law).
