Birth Date: 24 November 1834 Death Date: 29 June 1924 from American Civil War Soldiers at www.ancestry.com

The 1910 Federal Census for Ridgeway, Henry Co., Va, District 73, page 193B, dated May 2, 1910 records Thomas G. Lovelace (26 - NC/VA/VA) married to Cora A. (26) with children Cora F. (4), Thomas D. (2), and Annie E. (2/12) living in the household of his widowed father-in-law Peter D. Draper (76 - VA/VA/VA) with his children John P. (23) and Ida M. (18) Draper. Next door is Thomas' brother, John Lovelace (30 - NC/VA/VA), and wife, Florence Lovelace (23) with son William D. (2). John and Florence have been married 4 years and John is a brother of Thomas G. Lovelace.

From www.findagrave.com:
Peter's second wife was a niece of his first. Between the two wives they had 9 children, but not sure of the children of each. The nine were: Emily, Stephen Teebie, John, Della, Susan, Nannie, Ida, Lucy, Corinna.
Note: 2 of Peter's children, Florence Etta Draper and Ida Mae Draper, have documents that gove their mother as someone other than Mary Lucinda Nunn. Florence's 1928 death certificate records her mother as Nora Ann Draper while Ida's 1891 birth certificate from Scott, Putnam Co., West Virginia records her mother as Nora. Thus, Peter appears to have divorced Mary, or be a bigamist, or perhaps he just had a fling that resulted in a few children.

Next door are Peter's parents, Thomas J. (61) and Nancy (61) Draper. Peter and family are one page over in the census records from Lewis Byrd and family, whose great great grand daughter Betty Jane Byrd will marry Peter Draper's great grand son Bobby Hodges.

The 1880 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., Va, District 130, page 85B records Peter (45) and Mary L. (42) Draper with children Martha (16), Minnie (14), Idella (11), Corinna (1). Draper (March 1885), Florance Draper (Sept 1885), Ida Draper (May 1892 - WV). Also in the household is grand daughter Willie Draper (April 1895 - WV). Nearby is the family of William and Nannie Turner. Nannie is probably the daughter of Peter and Mary Draper ... see general notes on Nancy Draper.
