The 1880 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, District 151, (indexed as Dist 160 at ancestry.com) page 68A records Benjm (30 - PA) [census record clearly writes age 30 but this must be a mistake. This is not the son because he is living next door] and Mary (58 - PA) Kantz with son John R. (23 - Works in the dye house). Next door is another son Benjamin F. Kantz (27 - Loom Fixer) with his wife Eliza (23) and children Walker (3) and John (8/12).
The 1870 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, Ward 4, page 259A, dated June 29, 1870 records the Brick Maker Benjm Kautz (sic) (53 - PA) with his wife Mary (51 - PA) with children Chas (18 - Shoe Maker Appt), Benjm (17 - Works in a Cott Mill), Reuben (14 - Works in a Cott Mill), Anna (24 - Works in a Cott Mill), and Flora (9).
The 1860 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, South West Ward, page 606B/607A records the Laborer Benjamin (42 - PA) and Mary (40 - PA) Kantz with children John R. (3), Margt (16 - Mill Girl), Anna (15), Richard (11), Malinda (10), Charles (8), Benj (6).
The 1850 Federal Census for Pennsylvania, Lancaster Co., Lancaster City, North West Ward, page 260B records the Brick Maker Benjamin (29 - PA) and Mary A. (24 - PA) Kantz with children Henry (4) and Elizabeth A. (1).
