Isle of Wight Co., Va. Land Deed of John Daughtry to William and Priscilla Daughtry dated Aug 1, 1710 names John as brother to William; Charity as John's wife.

Isle of Wight Co., Va. Land Deed of William and Priscilla Daughtry to John Daughtry, Jr. dated Dec 14, 1749 : names Priscilla as the wife of William Daughtry; names John Daughtry, Jr. as a grand son of William and Priscilla; names a John Daughtry, now deceased, as brother to William; the 200 acres of land was bought by William from his brother John on Aug 1, 1710; included in the sale is all land, a negro fellow called Essex, one feather bed and furniture,trundle bedstead, the plantation where William and Priscilla now live with all houses, out houses, gardens, orchards, pastures & pasture grounds, woods, underwoods, timber and trees, all water and water courses, springs and all libertys and privileges after our [William & Priscilla] decease.

Will of William Daughtry: Isle of Wight Will Book #5: pages 436, 437, 438: Will Date Dec 24, 1751, Will Probate July 2, 1752 - the will names children and 2 grandchildren: Legacy to son, John, with reversion of the bequest to son Moses, if Moses has no heirs to his brother Benjamin; daughter Priscilla Hedgepeth, daughter Mary Holland, grandson, Wm. Holland; daughter Elizabeth Parker; grandson John Daughtry Jr. who was name Executor. Witnessed: Robert Whitefield, Charles Darden, Richard Daughtry.
His will was proved on 2 July 1752 in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia. The estate of William Daughtry was appraised by James Bryant, Jacob Butler, and John Lawrence and returned to the Court 6 August 1752.
