The 1850 Federal Census for South Manheim, Schuylkill Co., PA, page 481, dated August 8, 1850 records Benjamin (25 - PA) and Hannah (24 - PA) Kramer with children William (5) and David (3). Benjamin is employed as a Boatman.

The 1860 Federal Census for Auburn Borough, Schuylkill Co., PA, page 6, dated June 20, 1860 records Hannah Kremer (sic) (28 - PA) with children William (14), David (12), Benjamin (10), Rebecca (10), Charles (8), John (6), and Henry (4). Hannah has real estate valued at $250 and a personal estate valued at $50. Next door is Frank (30) and Lavinia (34) Kremer with children Jackson (10), George (8), Sarah (6), Wellington (1). Frank is employed as a R. R. Watchman and has real estate valued at $blank and a personal estate valued at $100. Perhaps the 2 families are living in the same residence.

The 1870 Federal Census for Auburn Borough, Schuylkill Co., PA, Auburn P. O., page 562B, dated July 14, 1870 records Hannah Kramer (40 - PA) with children Benjamin (14), Charles (12), Henry (10), and Lewis (8). Hannah has real estate valued at $blank and a personal estate valued at $100. It is a bit of a mystery as to who is the father of Lewis since Benjamin died in Nov 1859; however, all children's ages are about 2 or 3 years too low. Next door is Francis (40) and Lavinia (43) Kremer with children Jackson (20), George (18), Sarah (15), Wellington (10), Abraham (9), Lucian (4), and Clara (2). Frank is employed as a Boatman and has real estate valued at $blank and a personal estate valued at $100.

The 1880 Federal Census for Auburn Borough, Schuylkill Co., PA, District 236, page 139A, dated June 3, 1880 records the widow Hannah Kramer (40 - PA) with her son Lewis Kramer (20). Lewis is a R. R. Brakeman. Also in the household are the Lavina Kramer (54) and her children Wellington (21), Abraham (18), and Lucian (14). Next door is tghe widower Samuel Kramer (72) with his grand daughter Sarah Kramer (25) and her child, Clara Kramer (12). Also nearby are many members of the Mengel family, probably related to Hannah.

Benjamin married Hannah Mengel. (Hannah Mengel was born circa 1826 in Pennsylvania, died on 24 Aug 1890 in Auburn Borough, Schuylkill Co., Pennsylvania and was buried in St Johns Cemetery, Auburn, Schuylkill Co., PA.)
