The 1900 Federal Census for Somerset City, Pulaski Co., Kentucky, District 99, page 6A, dated April 25, 1900 records Hattie B. (June 1868 - Indiana/KY/Indiana) and Robert H. (April 1862 - Germany/Germany/Germany) Bartells on Main Street East Side. Robert is a Jewler who immigrated to this country in 1880 while Hattie is a Milliner. Hattie and Robert report being married for 14 years and havinbg has no children.

The 1910 Federal Census for Somerset City, Ward 1, Pulaski Co., Kentucky, District 183, page 90A, dated April 25, 1910 records Shirley Brinkley (10 - KY/KY/KY) living with her Aunt and Uncle, Hattie (42 - KY/KY/KY) and Robert (49 - Canada/Canada/Canada) Bartells on East Main Street. Robert is a Jewler who immigrated to this country in 1880. Both Hattie and Robert report being married since age 23.

The 1920 Federal Census for St. Petersburg, Pinellas Co., Florida, District 133, page 9A, dated January 5, 1920 records Shirley Brinkley (20) living with her Aunt and Uncle, Hattie B. (46 - Indiana/Indiana/Indiana) and Robert (58 - Germany/Germany/Germany) Bartells at 235 Second Avenue North. Robert is a Hotel Proprietor. He immigrated in 1880.

The 1900 Federal Census for Somerset City, Pulaski Co., Kentucky, District 99, page 15B, dated June 28, 1900 records Eliza A. Pinnell (Sept 1850 - Indiana/KY/Indiana) with 2 sons, James H. Pinnell (March 1873 - Indiana) and John O. Pinnell (Jan 1877 - Indiana). Eliza is a House Keeper while James is a Restaurant Merchant and John is a Restaurant Salesman. Eliza indicates she has been married for 34 years and has had 4 children all of whom are still living. Eliza's husband is not listed.

Shirley married St. Alban Douglas Strum, son of Louis Henry Strum and Margaret Loula Parker. (St. Alban Douglas Strum was born on 27 Sep 1899 in Georgia and died after 1940 in Pinellas Co., Florida.)
