The 1880 Federal Census for Union Township, Elkhart Co., Indiana, District 35, page 343A, dated June 8, 1880 records a widowed Joseph Weaver (39 - OH/PA/PA) living with his brother-in-law David Kilian (38 - Hessian/Hessian/Hessian) and wife Elizabeth (32 -Hessian/Hessian/Hessian) and their children George (13 - IN), Milton (10 - IN), John (8 - IN), Katie (6 - IN), William (3 - IN), and unnamed (3/12 - IN). Also in the household is David's widowed mother Catherine Kilian (67 - Hessian/Hessian/Hessian). Joseph and David are both farmers and wheat threshers. Joseph Weaver's first wife was Mary Kilian.

(Dec 1840 - Ohio/PA/PA) and Susan (June 1864 - PA/PA/PA) and siblings Frankie (Feb 1885 - Indiana), Amanda (July 1887 - Indiana), Avena (Feb 1889 - Indiana), Caroline (Nov 1890 - Indiana), and Margaret M. (Sept 1899 - Indiana). Joseph and Susan have been married for 16 years and have had 7 children of whom 6 are still living. Joseph is a Delivery Driver.
Note: WWII Draft Registration Card for Joseph Franklin Weaver born Febraury 17, 1885 in Nappanee, Indiana. He is living in Lyman, Skaget Co., Washington. The person who will always know his address is Geraldine Wolfe of Lyman, Washington. His WWI Draft Registration Card dated Sept 12, 1918 has him in Lyman, Skagit Co., Washington. His wife is listed as Mrs. Frank Weaver.
Note: Nappanee is a city in Elkhart County, Indiana and Kosciusko County, Indiana.
Also: Daughter Caroline Weaver marries Harvey E. Kauffman on 8 Nov 1907 in Elkhart Co., Indiana and lives in Clinton, Elkhart Co., Indiana in 1910. In 1920 they are found in Littlefield, Emmet Co., Michigan and remain in Michigan through 1940.
Also: Daughter Amanda Weaver marries Cloyd Lee Gonser on March 27, 1905 in Elkhart Co., Indiana ... she has not been found in any other records.

Also in the household is a lodger (possibly Joseph's daughter), Margaretta Weaver (10 - Indiana/Ohio/Indiana). William and Mabel have been married for 6 years and had 4 children with 1 still living while Joseph is listed as divorced. William is a farmer and Joseph is a laborer.
