Joseph married Jennette E. Norfleet, daughter of John Abraham Norfleet and Rachael L. Knight. (Jennette E. Norfleet was born circa 1845 in Nansemond Co, VA and died on 23 Nov 1892 in Upper Parish, Nansemond Co., Virginia.)
