Wilson Owen Thomasson

  General Notes:

Wilson Owen Thomasson enlisted as a Privatein Company H, 24th Infantry Regiment Virginia on March 17, 1862 at the age of 19. He was wounded on June 30, 1862 at Frazier's Farm, VA and hospitalized on July 3, 1862 at Chimborazo Hospl, Richmond, VA (With typhoid fever). He was later wounded on May 16, 1864 at Drewry's Bluff, VA.

The 1880 Federal Census for Martinsville, Henry Co., Va. District 130, page 84A records Wilson (38) and Julia (35) Thomasson with children George W. (11), Owen T. (9), Archer (8), Orren (6), Franklin (5), and Elizabeth (1).

The 1900 Federal Census for Reed Creek, Henry Co., Va., District 55, page 152A records Wilson (April 1842) and Julia M. (Dec 1839) Thomasson with children Frank A. (May 1875), Nannie E. (July 1878), Lou A. (Sept 1880), Julia A. (March 1882), Delpha J. (Jan 1884), Elsie F. (June 1886). Just one door away is Lewis D. Byrd (born Nov 1810).

Wilson married Julia M. Beach. (Julia M. Beach was born in Dec 1839 in Virginia and died after 1900 in Reed Creek, Henry Co, Virginia.)
