(July 1889), Charlie T. (Feb 1891), Carrie (July 1895), and John H. (Dec 1898). John and Mary have been married 15 years and have had 7 children of whom 5 are still living. Also in the household is John's widowed mother Martha Lovelace (1827) who reports having had 1 child.

The 1910 Federal Census for Ruffin, Rockingham Co., N. C., District 168, page 10B, dated April 30, 1910 records John P. (50) and Mary C. (49) Lovelace with children Edna (19), Charlie P.
