Larry P. "Pep" Kapp, 68, died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. He was the husband of Joanne K. (Sheridan) Kapp to whom he married on June 24, 1971. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 1 New St., Glen Rock. The Rev. Kathy Harvey will be officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Military rites will be given by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. The Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kapp was born on August 7, 1935 in Glen Rock. He was the son of the late Baynard R. and Evelyn M. (Wagner) Kapp. Larry was a graduate of Susquehannock High School, class of 1953. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Kapp worked as a machinist for Motters Printing in York. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #403 in Glen Rock, and New Salem Fire Hall. Pep also belonged to the Glen Rock Carolers Association and a former member of the York Colonial Chorus. Mr. Kapp is also survived by five sons, Robert P. Kapp of Red Lion, Scott F. Kapp of York, Eric V. Kapp of Red Lion, Jason P. Kapp of York, and Nicholas B. Kapp of Manchester; one daughter, Jackie L. O'Brien of York; six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Gwen L. Kapp and Frances F. Eisenhour, both of Dover; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Baynard R.
