The 1860 Federal Census for Conewago Township, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania, records the widow Matilda Bankeys (49 - PA) with her children Peter (14 - PA) and Leah (10 - PA). She is living in the home of her recently married daughter Caroline Hosler (19 - PA) and her husband William Hosler (24 - PA). William is a Blacksmith.
