The 1860 Federal Census for North Carolina, Rutherford Co., Broad River District, Rutherfordton P.O., page 140 records Wm (63-NC) and Levina (55-NC) and children King (22), Aidin (18), and Ann (15). Also in the household is Sarah Rucker (66). William is rather wealthy with real estate valued at $3,750 and personal property at $12,000. Actually the real estate and personal property is in Levinia's name with "Leviney Rucker" owning 12 slaves.

By 1870 Lavina is living on her own continuing to look after the disabled Sarah Rucker. The 1870 Federal Census for North Carolina, Rutherford Co., Green Hill, Rutherfordton P.O., page 97B records Louvina (sic) (66) and daughter Ann (24). Louvina has real estate valued at $0 and personal property values at $600. The real estate has been transferred to dauhgter Ann and is valued at $500 . Also in the household is Sarah Rucker (76) who is described as "idiotic".

By 1880 Lavina is living with her son Adin Rucker and his family. Apparently Ann is on her own, perhaps married, and Sarah Rucker has died. The 1880 Federal Census for North Carolina, Rutherford Co., Green Hill, District 157, page 459B records Lavina (76) living with her son A. L. Rucker (38) [Adin L.] and his wife R. J. (32) [Ruth J.] and new born daughter J. Hotevenia (10/12-July).

William married Lavina. (Lavina was born circa 1804 in North Carolina and died after 1880 in Rutherford County, NC.)
