The 1920 Federal Census for Palmyra, Fluvanna Co., Virginia, District 97, page 90A taken January 21, 1920 records the widow Sallie Davis (50 - VA/VA/VA) with her children Edward Davis (25), Grace Davis (23), Eliza Davis (16), and Luther Davis (11). Edward is managing the farm which is along Center Hill Road.
The 1930 Federal Census for Palmyra, Fluvanna Co., Virginia, District 10, page 294A taken April 2, 1930 records the widow Sarrah F. Davis (60 - VA/VA/VA) with her son Luther G. Davis (21) and grand daughter Helon Davis (5). Sarah indicates she was first married at age 18 and is employed as a Washer Woman while Luther is employed as a Truck Driver for Hauling. They are living along Bybee Road near Palmyra.
William married Sarah Frances Mahanes, daughter of James H. Mahanes and Eliza Jane Harris, on 24 Nov 1886 in Albemarle Co., VA.
